Adding Essential Oils To Skin + Body Care
Receive the wonderful rejuvenating and soothing benefits of plant remedies within skin and body care. Simply add a few drops of an essential oil to your moisturizer, face and/or body oil, creams or lotions and mix well.
My suggested essential oils for each skin type and conditions:
Dry skin: Frankincense, Rosewood, Benzoin, Cedarwood, Roman Chamomile.
Normal/Combination skin: Geranium, Lavender, Palmarosa, Neroli.
Sensitive skin: Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Frankincense, Benzoin, Neroli.
Oily skin: Palmarosa, Lemongrass, Tea Tree, Ylang-Ylang, Lavender.
Diffuse Essential Oils In The Morning + Before Bed
Diffusing essential oils in the morning and before bed is a wonderful way to integrate aromatherapy into your day. Try diffusing an energizing essential oil blend such as our Vitatlity blend in the morning to give yourself a burst of energy and increase concentration for the day ahead.
Diffusing a calming blend of essential oils before bed can aid in relaxation and a restful nights sleep. Lavender, Sweet Orange and Cedarwood are my bedtime go-to oils for relaxation. I suggest switching on your diffuser 20 minutes before bedtime so the aroma has had chance to fill the room before you go to bed.
Using Aromatherapy Remedies Throughout The Day
Again, this is another really great and simple way to integrate aromatherapy into your day. Aromatherapy sprays, roll-on blends and massage oils are all quick and effective ways to receive the wonderful psychological benefits of plant remedies.
Aromatherapy sprays - The great thing about aromatherapy mists is that you can take them wherever you go. Aroma mists come in a variety of scents which offers healing for the many different things. For example, we offer a variety of six scents which have been specifically blended for relaxation, energizing, calming, uplifting and purifying. I have a mist in my car, purse and each room of my house making infusing essential oils into my day simple and easy.
Roll-ons - Roll-on aromatherapy blends are another simple and easy way to use aromatherapy. Simply apply the roll-on or scent of your choice to your pulse points, sides of the neck and temples. Luna Rose roll-on blends come in 10ml bottles making them transportable and easy to use throughout the day.
Massage Oils - Tight muscles? Stiffness? Headache? There are many essential oils which offer powerful pain relieving benefits such as Ginger, Black Pepper, Peppermint, Lavandin and Rosemary - to name a few. Try a massage blend - or you could make a DIY blend with the suggested oils. Apply to the painful area 3-5 times a day fin circular movements or gentle pain relief. Using Aromatherapy Remedies For Mindfulness
I love using essential oils when practising Yoga and/or Meditation. I find it really deepens my practice and helps to ground my energy, as well as promote a feeling of connection to my inner self. Sprays and roll-ons are a great way to integrate aromatherapy to your practice, as well as diffusing a calming, grounding blend.
For me, nothing feels more grounding than diffusing Cedarwood or Patchouli essential oils while I journal before bed. Frankincense is another excellent oil to diffuse or apply to your skin during meditation. You will find it deepens your practice and relax your senses.
